Old Gray Haired Eagle Is Landing

I just made a deal for a Whites Eagle II SL black box detector with two coils ( 950 and blue max 600). I hear that they made a blue box & a black box model of this detector, I will call it gray because of it's age . This is going to be a bit heavy and has a learning curve (there are many settings you can do if you want). I have heard that the Eagle was one of the best detectors White's has ever made, I don't know, but I did see they cost over $800.00 new. It should be here tomorrow, I was wondering if any of you have used one of these beasts. Steve.

Have used it? I still use it. It is pretty awesome. I am usually a turn on and go guy and it has always ran with the best of them.
This is why I never updated my Whites, thought I had a pretty decent offering. It has the adjustments that the fine tuners love. There
are a bunch of special programs out there.
The Vision has my attention now, but I have always loved my Eagle. Let me know how you get along with it.

HH, Don

this is a most excellent detector.....I really like the way it hunts, and suites my needs very nicely... Has very good depth, and its Id isjust about right every time...the only draw back with my unit is it can't run the blue-max series of coils....

You will like this machine.

I got my Eagle 2 SL new many years back, the detector has held up all this time. We like it so much I just bought a second one for the new wife. The guy who had it did not use it much and it is like new, I installed a hip mount and coil cover. We paid $150.00.
