Old Gold and Thunder...

Craig-PI

New member
I got to the beach this morning at 7 am, I could only detect for about an hour before it started pouring with a couple rumbles of thunder chasing me off the beach but one of my first hits was the 18k gold wedding band... I researched the maker by the hallmark on the ring and this maker retired from the jewelry business in the mid 1800's I know from the markings inside the ring is probably from that time frame... I also found a Barber dime.. the brass tube has mucketballs wedged inside I'll clean that up after work... that gold ring was super deep the signal was a slight break in the threshold, I scooped down 6 times in the mud and silt to recover it, I saw it sitting at the bottom of the hole I wish I had brought my camera to show the depth but the DF is deeper than the PI PRO I used to use :)
