Old Garrett machines worth having serviced???

I have two old garretts (see below) that I suspect will never have the coils changed out on, as they are set up for specific tasks,... would I benefit at all in sending them into Garrett to have them tuned to theses coils specifically? I have minuscule if any ground mineral interference where I am.

I don't think you have to get the coils tuned as most manual ground balance metal detectors don't need to have their coils tuned. Any of the accessory coils should work and won't need to be tuned to the metal detector.

Far as I know, the Master Hunter is a Manual GB machine.
The Anerican S3 is a 'switch on and go' machine with Fixed GB
The coils that came with these machines cannot be tuned.
I'd say they're in a fragile condition internally with the breakdown of coil fill material thru the years.
I'd also say, the components of both machines have worn out and given the age, it might not be easy to replace them? I don't know that for sure and Garrett might still have serviceable components for them?
Best bet is drop them an e mail and ask!

Last time I had my Freedom 3 Plus fixed.....cost me more than the price of an Ace 250! Up to the individual and how he feels about the machien. heck I would trade my AT Pro for a new Freedom 3 Plus!
