Old farmhouse revisited..

Went back to the old farmhouse today after work for an hour. It has an incredibly junky yard, can't swing a dead cat without hittin' at least 5 screw caps. Set the sensitivity down to 50%, put on the small coil, and only dug repeatable signals. picked up 3 pennies and a Quarter. The quarter surprised me, I have noticed that the 1350 Id's correctly on air tests, and on coins that haven't been in the ground long, but on coins that have been there for a while it Id's one value higher. Cu pennies come in at dime or 1 notch below, dimes at Quarter, ant todays quarter was between quarter and $.50. Anyone else notice this? Also got the obligatory screw caps as they come in at penny and size at coin, a key that came in at 5.5 on the scale, and some big wadded up foil.

Good challenge....going after a trash infested area. Is that quarter silver?.....it's hard to tell from the pic. :)

No, just a 1970... I am beginning to think the place had some dirt deposited a while back, I don't seem to be finding anything pre 1970, but the house is much older. Maybe someday when I get the trash cleaned out I can go to a standard or maybe the 10 X 14DD coil and see what pops up... By the way, I am still looking for my FIRST silver!
