Re my post of 3/12/10 Old farmhous location: the mystery coin I found tuns out to be an imitation spade 1/2 guinea token. They were made as advertising and gaming (gambling) pieces in the mid 1800's. They were struck usind dates in the 1790's to avoid counterfiet laws. Most were struck in brass or bronze and some were guilt. Usually had King George on the front and the "spade" shaped royal crest on the back.
