Old Farmhouse = Double Ct Coppers and more !

I was able to hit an old farmhouse area within two miles of my house (Been driving by this place since I was a kid). It's up for development and I was able to get permission. I know the area has been detected somewhat a while back but that dosen't stop me.
I looked at 1930's aerial photos before I went and I focused on a very small yard / field area right next to the house to do a test run ( I only had a couple hours Sunday before the rain ).
My finds were two Connecticut coppers ( both 1787 ), a Taft Hotel luck token, a nice tombac button and a few odds and ends. Looks promising and I can't wait to go back.
This seemed to be my year for "double coppers". Earlier this year I found two LCs on two different hunts in an area. In the summer I found two KG IIs on one hunt and now two Ct coppers. Now I'd like that luck with old silver !!

nice coppers - funny how they're slightly different sizes. QC not as good back then. Congrats.

Nice catch Doug. The one on the right seems to be missing a little material around the edge and I'm suspecting the one on the left is a period counterfiet.

Bruce, awesome hunt my friend!

I can't imagine finding something like that here in IL. TWO 1700's coppers in one hunt...AMAZING. Congrats.:beers:
