Old Dovetail pull tabs

Dancer

Well-known member
Been hunting an area above the beach thats loaded with them. Some are so brittle they sometimes break in my hand. Two hunts I got 37 clads & one 51 Wheaty. Now the place had to been hunted once in a while, but when ya see so many Dovetails makes me wonder. Most of the targets are on the surface or shallow. {Area is wind swept} Wasn't expecting anything old, but got to wonder why all those Doves are still there.
On top of all the tabs, & bottle tops, theres plenty of short thin pieces of electric wire.( They always sound goood) Some plumbing parts too. Musta been a building of some sort here once. I think I'll keep hitting it once in a while till I find the last Dovetail.

I've followed behind some 'ethical' local club members and checked their holes only to find trash that they dug and then left in the hole. Disgusting.

Hi KinTN, That is one thing i always do and tell all that hunt with me "" IF YOU DIG IT UP"" "" PICK IT UP "". I have stopped hunting with one or two because of that. I tell them we might come back to hunt and don,t want to dig the same junk as last time. Good Luck Flintstone
