My son's ancient MT....all it says on control box is VLF treasure meter,and VLF treasure detector. 2 knobs,power level/on off,and trash discriminator. No manufactor at all. Anyone ever hear of this?

About the detector you asked for, I never heard something about this one specific.

There are some Chinese knock-offs of the BH Gold Digger, probably what you have. Again, a picture is worth a kiloword.

What you have is the Bounty Hunter VLF Metal Detector. Basically a stripped down early to mid 1990s post George Payne bud series metal detector. Watered down Big Bud XL,Quick Draw and Sharp Shooter. This metal detector you have is still being made. It finds coins.
