Front reads 52 107. The lines are all straight the 2 looks like a Z and the zero looks like a diamond.

The back reads LOW , below that ONDON (London). Seems to be lead.
Maybe a cattle tag?
 
Cloth Seal is right. Who would of thunk. Lol.
Are they common a find metal detecting? I haven't seen one before.
 
I guess how common depends on the areas or countries hunted. But many are found. Good indicater of a spot for old finds I think.
