Can't figure this one out. Tried a couple of hours on the 'net today, no luck in identifying it. It's from another MD'er in FL. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

it does look like a old roman coin to me though of some sort


EDIT: I didnt see the spot on the coin that said specimen. Maybe it is a replica roman coin??
 
Looks like aluminum, can you tell what its made of? It seems pretty obvious its a modern replica. I don't know how much you could learn about a replica, unless there are sources that explain something of them that I don't know about.
 
looks like a sestertium copy, but i can't recognize the emperor.
