Old coin fix all pre 1870

Finally found a place with real old coins for our neck of the woods. I found these in 2 trips the 1st day got 2 shield nickels 1-1841 seated dime and 2 seated 1/2 dimes 1851-o and 1856. I found those 5 coins in 1 1/2 hours so the next trip back I thought I might find the mother load? Not a bad day though I hunted 7 hours and got 13 coins 1-1851-o 1/2 dime, 1847 France 25 centimes., 1866 2 cent piece, 1852 3 cent silver my 1st one of these at least I got the part with the date on it. 4 Indians 1866, 1867, 2-1869's and 5 shield nickels including one with rays (most shields I've ever found in 1 day). I'm going to try and clean them up a bit but they are in rough shape. Nothing found here was newer than 1869 which is cool. I'll be going back probally next year. It's been a so so year I didn't keep track but I did several more seated dimes and a a hand full of Barbers a bunch of Indians and not to many Mercs but a few. I also swithced to an Explorer 2 this year it seems to be hotter than my EX? might just be in my head but I've done really well with this detector. Nice finds everyone GL & HH Ken

That 1856 Seated Half-Dime sure is a beauty! That has to be the nicest one I have ever seen pulled from the ground. Very Detailed! What a site you have found! I hope your face didn't get stuck smiling like the Joker's. Keep them Awesome Finds flooding in and Good Luck and HH at that Outstanding Site you found.

I don't post much anymore but I thought some eye candy might get you out looking for some, I enjoy looking at everyones finds so go find em and post em. A little research goes a long way it only took me 20 years to find this spot so don't give up they're out there. GL & HH Ken & Happy Thanksgiving

I'd like to ad to our lucky day that it wouldn't be possible if I hadn't' had some help from Keith Indiana & Sam from Indiana the three of us worked together and made this whole hunt possible. These were all found on private property with PERMISSION. Also found that day Keith Indiana found 2- 2 cent pieces, 4-shield nickels, seated 1/2 dime, seated dime, 4 Indians 2 fattys. Sam found 2-Indians 1-fatty, 3-shield nickels, 1- 2 cent piece 1 gold plated brooch, 1 political Lincoln Hamlin campaign ferrotype badge, 1-copper ring, 2 buttons. So all total 39 coins all pre 1870 not bad for a combined team effort to locate this nice spot. It's cool to share we all had a good day. HH Ken

add me to that hunt list and make it a foursome:lmfao:

Had a great time Ken and you should pull several more of of that site. In fact I think the best hot spot is yet to be found!

Here are the ones I found. The two centers are 1864 LD and 1867 both have bold WEs, the dime is 1841P, the half dime is 1847P, the dates are gone on all 4 of the shield nickels (one has rays) and the Indians are 2 dateless fatties, 1864L, 1865, 1866 and an 1868. The three bronze ones all have full bold LIBERTY............
