Old church =Old silver

After doing my service on Sunday I went to an old abandoned church site that I have permission to hunt. Original structure was built in 1870 but knocked down by tornado in 1913. So the site is full of nails and iron debris. I had dubbed this site the Church of the Eternal Wheat Cent because that is all I found but the last two times out have produced silver. Total finds for the day included a 1907 V nickel, 1909 Barber quarter, 1904 Indian and 3 early wheats. Here is video of barber dig.... http://youtu.be/ZVgH9z1xvrI Enjoy

Nice job on the V and the silver 1909 Barber!!! I never even thought about storms strewing nails all over the place. Welcome to the club but I guess you get more there than here being you're in the alley. Nice short and to the pont video as well.

Beautiful Place! Those are my favorite places to hunt....Keep it up there's probably lots more there to find....Great Finds!!

Nice find !! I'll bet the outer surrounding area will produce also. Think, back in the day, all the activities, socials and meetings that took place with people wandering about.
