Old Church Finds 3/29

Well we finally got our first silver coins of the year. Pulled a couple Washington quarters out today (1943 and 47) along with some clad.

Also found ourselves a Sterling ring a couple days ago,

And finally an older suspender buckle. Cant find much info except on thread on another forum about a similar one. Looks like it may be bronze??

Any info about the buckle would be great! We are heading back out here shortly hoping to pull some more silvers!

Thanks MikeO! You should have seen our 11 years olds face when we pulled that ring out. I think he thought we were rich or something until I explained the actual value is way less then the sentimental value of it being our first silver ring find together. He was and still pumped. I must have heard "I cant believe we found that ring and those "old" quarters out there" about 6 times today. Cant wait to see him if we find something 1800's and dated.

From what I read that buckle is from the late 19th century but I dont know for sure. Wasnt real deep though, only like 3 inches or so.

Totaly forgot about a what I believe to be an old button we found as well. Going to try and clean it up tomorrow and see if it can be ID'ed.

Nice ring , is that like primal elements on it? sun, water etc CO

Yes there is Sun, Water, some wavy lines which we thought meant wind or waves, and some arrows.

Here is another shot of it.

Also here is a button that we found. Would like to try and at least date this button if possible. At first we thought it was pretty old, but after looking again today and cleaning it up more I have my doubts now.

You guys can decide since I know next to nothing about buttons. Heck sometimes I cant even button up my shirt straight. lol
