This looks old and was found in SC can anyone I.D. it for me Thanks Ted First of all how do make the file smaller won't upload
 
Email the pic to yourself at the appropriate size option, save the pic from your Email, then open the saved pic using your photo application.
 
I found this one on another metal detecting site that I am not suppose to link to. It was ID'd as "Common Blazer Button" Another comment added "classic blazer button... thin, die-stamped brass, with steel/tin back; heraldic crest and Latin or pseudo-Latin motto; probably post-1950."
I can however LINK the the Google search with the mentioned site in the results. It's the first result.
I'm not sure how "common" it is, I'm not able to find any other examples.
