I found this old button today and I don't know a thing about buttons. It look to have a knights axe at the top and a shield with the letters JTE on it.
Does anyone know anything about this?

Hey Magic, I don't know much about buttons either but what was the area like that you found it in, how deep was it? What else did you find nearby and what era did they come from?

The area was an old sanitarium that was started about 1870s. The oldest coin I found at this location was 1882.
There is no writing on the back at all...kinda deteriorated. It came in like an Indian head would and was about 7 inches deep.
