I took this color picture and tried to make it look like an old photo. Kelley (Texas) :)

Use to live right down there, you are making me home sick!! Nice picture!

post pictures and get little feedback from folks. I have lots of pictures of historical sites or other interesting sites, but have held back because of lack of interest. This is a large metal detecting forum, and it is difficult to expect folks to be interested in a small photo forum stuck down near the basement. I just wish that I could figure out a way to make this site more interesting for folks. I do appreciate you taking the time to post a response, it made my day! Kelley (Texas) :)

I took this picture a few weeks ago when visiting Castroville, Texas. Kelley (Texas) :)

Fred, In New England it is quite common to see older buildings made of granite or rock. There were many Quarry's here. Is this building technique common in Texas?

Fred, I am with you on your comments, for Sure! It is frustrating...like another forum, A few gawkers, no comments. Guess some folks do not realize the time it takes to downsize and post the photo's, and then write a description. You know a good friend, that doesn't even visit anymore due to frustrations...
Perhaps, changing the Name from Digital Imaging, to Current and Historical Digital Images??
Like yourself, I have thousands of photo's stored, I shoot ten or more a day. I am on the road everyday, and my eyes are open for subjects. Things people drive by or pass by every single day, and do not pay attention to the historical buildings or locations around them.

Yes, it is common to find old buildings in Texas constructed from native limestone which is abundant in Texas. Kelley (Texas) :)

post pictures or post responses to pictures posted here. Like I said earlier, this is a metal detector forum and this photo forum is sorta a side show, not related to metal detecting as per se. Let me think about this for a day or two and see if I can come up with something to make this forum interesting for folks. Kelley (Texas) :)

PS: I love your boat pictures, they are interesting to me. :)
