Old brass buckle?

Hello everybody!
Just hoping I can get some info on this brass buckle. I found it near an old church site that dates back to the 1880s. It was about 5" deep with a nice solid tone in disc mode on the Vaquero. I accidentally knicked it with the Lesche, and I can see that it is brass. It is also heavy for it's size. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm definitely going to head back out there!
