Old bottles and china

Hello, found an old wine bottle, a Dessart"s Essence white glass bottle, and some old china while snorkling about 200m offshore a couple of days ago.

Wow if you scuba for bottles try around bridges...I have seen tons of bottles found around bridges by some guy here, what a collection he has got...also If I lived in Aussie I would not go in the water due to crocs and very poisonous snakes....just call me chicken its allright :surrender:

Hello Mattockman,
In the southern part of downunder the sharks have eaten them out so we don't have a problem! We only have to contend with the great white shark, hammerhead, bronze whaler, and the snakes that we do have, when we come across them under water are quite docile, in fact my husband's had them swim between his legs! The truth is: crocodiles are only in the Northern part of Australia. But to be honest when you're in dirty water, sharks seem to pop up in your mind sometimes. The other day we had a young girl yell SHARK, but it turned out to be a dolphin! And it's true what I said about snakes swimming under his legs, but it hasn't happened to me. Actually, I have been snorkling around the old piers and jetties, and not far from on is where I found the bottles and broken china. So you're right on that one.
Cheers Angela:)
P.S. It's healthy being chicken to a degree, so I wouldn't worry about that. I am!!!

Well that was informative...I don't know much about Aussie, but I would never go there and play with the snakes and sharks....good luck

In my part of the woods if your out in the bush detecting particularly around old stone ruins you can come across red bellied black snakes, tiger snakes, brown snakes and copperheads all of which are venemous. But all usually are happy to go the other way except for the tigers which can get a bit fiesty sometimes.

still its just the thought of it....yes browns are very venumous....I watch all those shows...I got to admit...I love that croc man Steve something...lol I forgot his name.....

The only creature that bothers me a bit are spiders, specially the Alpine wolf spider that often, rolls out of the dirt near my feet when I'm digging in holes for bottles. I wouldn't put up a photo of one, as everytime I'd open up my posts, I'd frighten the living daylights out of me. So you'll have to use your imagination! At least they're slow moving, I just pick them up with the shovel, and throw them away from me! Really, it's not that bad here in Australia with creatures, most will move away from you, as Ken said.
Cheers Angela:)

Another find I see and its good to know that some have fun ways of collecting. Way to go. Happy hunting Angela.
