old bottle and river finds

I went to this old church area I have permission to search and it's so overgrown, I didn't find anything and could barely swing my GTI-2500 with the sniper coil. It was frustrating, but I finally found the debris from where the old church was. Lots of old cans and nails and eyeballed this old Duraglass bottle from 1911. Screw threads, but still over 100 years old.
Went to the river and hunted about 5 hours and found some costume jewelry, a marble and 28 cents in clad and when I went to leave, I was broke down. AAA sent a person to jump start me and I got home about 9 pm and was real tired. Enjoyed the trip tho. Without the sifter, these items would have went right thru my scoop. I hope to modify my scoop with some 1/4 inch hardware cloth before my next trip. Somebody posted on one of these forums and I can shake my scoop out without being afraid of losing small targets.
One of the reasons my pain is worse is I lift the scoop full of sand or mussels and dump it into my sifter and it catches lots of small items that used to fall thru my scoop. The ladybug was a 73 on the DVI, the item that looks like it has diamonds on it was a 99. The small item with stone in middle was a 60-61 and the little thing that looked like an eagle folded over was a 52.

i had to modify my scoop was losing lots a small stuff and kept chaseing small bits of aluminum went to hard ware store got some wire screen tie wraped it into my scoop much better now

I enjoyed getting out and will post photos of my modifications when I get it done. I got the idea from Jim in MA in the Beach and Water forum March-20 this year. title was Idea to stop smaller targets from falling thru scoop. He posted into a thread by jasonspaz1 and I hope to fix my scoop this way, this week. HH
