Old batteries

I was told i found some old railroad batteries and not to mess with them. If anyone knows what old batteries look like please help. Thanks

might they be the old "Edison" nickel iron alkaine cells ?? had a stainless case , 1.2 volts per cell . used potassium hydroxide for electrolite . if ya spill some on ya wash it off with vinegar . best battery ever built . i got a few from 1920 , still fine .

cant help ya without a better description , were they perhaps ceramic jars ??? perhaps without the electrodes ?? rr used a lot of those in their signals .

this may help on the size of the pics. i learned from a website like this.
just thought i would try to help. that's how i learned!

1. right click on picture then put pointer over "open with" then click on "paint"
2 once in paint click on images at the top. this will bring up resize/skew click on it.
3. in this window under resize i change the 100% to 10% on both horiz. and vert. this reduces the picture immediately
4. then you need to save the new sized image .
a. just close window upper right red x. it will say do you want to replace original picture? you can say yes or you can change name so then both sizes of pictures are saved. your choice.
b. or you can click on file upper left of page and click save or click save as. this gives you an option of replacing the old bigger size picture or saving the new smaller picture. your choice.
5. then you got to go back into which folder the original size photo was and find the new smaller size. then you would be able to load it to the website. i'm guessing the website has limits (rightfully so) on size was your problem before. after resizing it takes much less . and it fits the website . at least that's what i think.

good luck and work with a picture you con't mind losing for experiment. send it to the website then you can delete it if only a test run.

sorry if too much detail. the instructions i had when someone taught me like this was much shorted. i guess it's all in the teacher! ha ha!
