First Euro!I got in just a hour detecting at the local elementry school.I have the normal clad change,a dog tag with a hollowgram of scarface saying say hello to my little friend, and the thinking that strong signal and yellow color I thought it was another piece of foil. I got a 20 cent Euro! This the first I've heard of one in North California.Brian.

to find that, but you never know! I am a little north of you, and found a french Franc in a sand play area. How did it get there?!? It certainly isnt a tourist area, or an area with a lot of french. Sure makes you wonder.

Foreign coins are a neat oddity to the sraight people, too, not just we detectorists. Many consider them good luck, or just something to tote around and look at now and then.

Children, especially, like them for the "braggin rights" they offer.

I was surprised to learn that each country actross the pond mints its own Euro coins. Over on the Garrett forum, someone is always turning them up, from all over Europe.

...you talkin to me?

Well , thanks, Im surprised anyone noticed. I just come and go I detect for awhile and then work or something else gets in the way - but I always come back!

I have only two pastimes I love: guitars and detecting.

Thanks for noticing me.
