This is just outside of Chicago in a forest preserve - I was out MD'ng this morning with Silvergurl and we didn't find anything so we decided to call it a day. On the way home we saw lots of people lined up along the RR tracks so we asked them whats going on. We were told that an old steam engine was gonna be coming along any minute so we raced back to the woods far away from all of the crowds. We had some time to kill so we walked up to an older man that had 3 or 4 cameras setup and asked some questions. He was more than happy to share his love of trains with us and even showed us some previous videos of this particular train. The only remaining operable "streamlined" steam locomotive of the Art Deco era. Here is my video, enjoy.

After the train passed Twistidd called me and asked if we were still out hunting and we decided to try our luck at another section of woods just on the other side of the street. I have hunted there a good 5 times and found some old coins over there but after awhile the place just seemed to dry up. Well Twistedd started going back hunting there and coins just started popping up again. As soon as we walked in Twistidd got a coin signal, and not more than 3 minutes and 15 feet away I got a coin signal. Its funny how you can hunt the same place over and over again and still be able to go back and still find old coins. When I dug the token Twistidd was filming me, we were positive that it was gonna be a deep quarter but when I pulled it up and ran my finger across it all's I saw was shiny gold!!!! I thought I found my 1st $10 coin and about had a heart attack!!!! We were just looking at each other in total shock, its funny - check it out on the video. LOL

Keep at it. It looks like the kind of spot that could harbor a gold coin. Nice silver and Buffs. HH jim tn
