These surely were brave men to face and endure what they had to go through during WWII and other missions! May God Bless and provide for their families and loved ones that many have fought and died for in their bravery! Amen! Ma

I feel bad that they lost so many of their crew-They knew what they were going into but they still went, That goes to prove that our service men have always done what had to be done And they did it-I have always wondered if I could have done any thing like that or would I have been one out of the whole crew who would have refused to go. You never know until you have a choice Yes or No-I sure hope I would have said Yes ! I would bet there is at least one Person in our Series of Forums That has been in a Similar Situation but has Never brought it up to any one publicly--I knew one person who worked in the plywood mill owned by (International Paper Co.) that I worked in also who volunteered to do that on one of the Islands in the South Pacific He went out front of his Buddies to try to protect the wounded and had boxes of Grenades which he kept throwing out in front of him all night to stop the Japanese from over running them-He never knew how many he stoped because most of them were hauled away before daylight-
