Old 1950's Era Motor Court

I finally got permission to search this old motor court that has been abandon for a short while. I went out there for about an hour today and found a bunch of zinc pennies and a broach with small diamonds. I'm not sure if they are real diamonds, but you can be sure I'm gonna check. The biggest problem was the amount of trash. I was searching with my X-Terra 70 with the stock coil. I got home and ordered a 6" DD 18.75 coil. I'm pretty sure it will make detecting this property much easier. It was tough to even ground balance because of the trash. I got quite a few deep signals in the silver range, but didn't have a digging tool with me to really get down deep. Each little bungalow has a small carport to the side, which should be a great spot to hammer hard. I can picture people trying to get their keys out of their pockets between the car an the wall and dropping all kinds of things without noticing. I'm hoping for some good finds. It's hard to find places that contain older coins in the part of Arizona that I live in. If it's abandon and old, there is always tons of trash everywhere. I'm sure this site has been detected some over the years when it was open, but there is no sign of anybody digging around the area that I can spot at this time. Now it's the wait that seems to take forever for that brown truck to pull up with the goodies.

Good Hunting, John K
