G,day all i dug this up on Sunday arvo as well it was about 9 inches deep about 1metre from the base of a big oak tree. This is my deepest find in this area as well, i slowed my swing speed down & it belltoned only 1way & not on the return swing. I had audio boost ON & it read 9.5 on target ID.The ground was like concrete i used my large pry bar to drive it down deep beside the target to break open the ground then scraped away the dirt with my coin pick to reveal a 1897 Coin Medallion in fair condition.
The front of the coin reads "Shire Of Cranbourne & Secretary A.N Facey " In the middle is a pic of the old shire offices & president D.Craig 1897.
Its made of copper.
