Here is a tropical paradise I thought I would share. Okinawa Japan
I own a Garrett GTI 2500, Garrett Sea Hunter II

Look at this next one. I was just out with the wife today. Needed to spend some time with her so i could hit the beach next weekend.

Wow, I have never even seen water that color let alone, clear.

If it is, and you can snorkel, it might be a lucrative spot.
HH from Allen in MI

1961-63 and it certainly wasn't a paradise then. Still a lot of evidence from WWII and a lot of thatched roofed houses made from slabs of coral cut from the beach. No fancy hotels and it was far from a tourist attraction. But, all in all, I enjoyed my time there. I scooped up handsfull of 50 caliber bullets from the crevices in the coral on the beach. Didn't need a metal detector in those days. My second home was Tommy's Bar in Kadena Circle. I'm sure Kadena Circle is still there but imagine Tommy's is history. Those were the good old days.

i was there in the beginning of '69 at camp hardy for jungle training. the north end of the island seemed untouched since the war. you are right... metal detecting there was walking out after a heavy rain and looking down. that place was loaded with WWII stuff.

Allen, Yep those are dive platforms with the great sandy bottom. I saw these and I had gold in my eyes.

Due to lack of team support at home, we came in second. Nice to see our sons being treated better in the current mess in Iraq.
