Okay, so I finally did it...........

So I finally ordered a Compadre with the 8" coil. Needed something to compliment my other detector. I got the 8" coil version because the areas I hunt are fairly wide open and I hope with the larger coil it will get more depth than the 5.75" version, although if it does not thats okay. Hope it gets here soon, or at least before the snow flies and the ground freezes.

I don't have a Compadre with a 8 inch coil, but if it works anything like my Compadre with the 5.75 inch coil does you're going to find a lot of good stuff with it.

Make sure that you post your finds.

Good choice. That would be my pick with the 8" coil. Let us know how it does.

You will get it this week. I feel it in my bones. I hope you can do some testing with small gold chains to let us know what you think about it. I would like to have one... KEN

Gee Ken, how did you know? According to the tracking info it is supposed to arrive Thursday. Hoping the weather holds so I can get it out for some good tests this weekend. Will try the chain test, that is if the wife will let me use one. Will keep all posted on what I come up with.
