Ordered it from Richard of Backwoods and it's the second brand new detector I ever bought. (Oh oh! i forgot to ask if it comes with a coil
cover) I'm just so hyped up about getting a shiny brand new detector again! Always getting used ones.....
First a Musketeer Colt. Then a Toltec 100. Then a Sharp Shooter II, Then I bought a "new" Musketeer Advantage...
Traded that for a Classic IDX w/bill mods...It got stolen.....A Lobo ST....a Sovereign GT....a M6.....X-terra 70...
Explorer 2....then the Bandido 2, I got it last month (It's good) and now the NEW Vaquero!!!
Oh I almost forgot. The very first detector I bought,... about 5 yrs ago....A Famous Trails model. That went
right back to the sports store where I got it from.
The little lady thinks I have a illness that requires meetings and step work...
I agree. Step one: Get a detector....Step two; Research....Step three: Join a club and attend the meetings
Step four; Have fun....

Sure! Just make sure you wash your hands before you do. I don't want any of those Explorer germs on it. LOL...Or the Fisher, or whites, or Garrett.....What else do you own!

Well i just sent my vaquero back to tesoro to get it super charged and supertuned and while i'm waiting playing with my brand new deleon i just got yesterday I now have 5 tesoro's in my fleet and a proud owner and i'm looking for a diablo next.

Will mine have that all already or is that something you have to send to Tesoro to get done?

Now find me some gold..................Have fun......Good Luck .

Well i bought mine used and never been quite satisfied with the audio of the signal, it's nice and loud at 4 or 5" and anything further than that i can barely here my signal it just drops off but in all metal there is no issue so i'm not sure what's up with it but anyways tesoro will make it race ready and no worrys after all youve got the best detector company out there!

The VQ will be my 4th Tesoro Chuckles Baby. The Toltec-100 was my first. Then a Lobo ST. The Bandido and VQ are the first in the uMax series. I choose Tesoro not so much for depth and the great warranty. If it was depth I was after I would have kept my Explorer. Without a doubt the Explorer has been my most depthful machine. ( If "depthful" is a real word. ) I just want to have fun detecting again without a arm ache or staring at a TID screen for ten minutes per target wondering if I should dig or not....( By the way, my buddy who uses the Cortes does the same thing.) After I sold my Explorer I only had my Ace 250. and I set it to all-metal and dug up all decent repeatable signal and had a blast. Because of the fixed GB on the Ace it isn't very depthful* over here my neck of the woods but it's a light machine. I can't think of a more reputable company that makes a light machine with manual GB capabilities except Tesoro. Also I wanted a machine made in the USA. So I knew I wanted a light machine. Had to have the ability to Ground Balance. And no TID because the further the target the less reliable they are and I'm afraid I passed over a lot of treasure because of this....And I wanted the best for the money I could spend. Now I don't think the VQ will get the depth that my Explorer did. That FBS is wonderful. Next time I go hunting with a Explorer user (Mascard1) I can be more certain.
Meanwhile I still have to wait two more days till the VQ arrives!!!! Just think how shot this reply would have been if I had a new detector here waiting for me!! My reply would have said something like..."yeah! I have a deep digger' see ya!".
PS
* Just added depthful to my Spell Check dictionary so it's official. It's a real word.

Sure Chucky, touch away and enjoy yourself! :yikes::heh:

Congrats on the VQ!! I just had to retire my Aztec due to coil issues. I'm hoping to pickup a new Silver Umax soon.

Two great choices, first the Vaquero, second dealing with Richard at Backwoods. I've never had a problem with anything purchased from him, upfront guy.
