Who was, "Willie, Lilly, Jethro and George", for whom did they play, the nickname of their 'Set', and which one used a detector, and what brand?

Would preffered to be called ladies and gentleman if you please..All I remember was the rifleman( Chuck Connors) was an ardent detectorist and understand one female country western singer also was of the enertainment field..Heck we have a local heart surgeon so might also include Doctors, lawyers and indian chiefs and many from all walks of life.

Lilly was Bob Lilly, Jethro was Jethro Pugh, George was George Andrie, and Willie was uhhhh, ahhhh, I'm not sure. These guys played for the Dallas Cowboys and were referred to as the Doomsday Defense. The "fourth member" seems to be rotating between several like Larry Cole and Ed Jones. No idea on the detector user.

Buckeye Brad got about half of it-Willie was Willie Townes, and Bob Lilly used a detector-a D-Tex (ever heard of It?)
Frank L

That country lady used a Fisher too! A couple other famous detectorists are The Rolling Stones drummer, & a NASCAR driver (S. Marlin maybe?) who supposedly Civil War hunts.....HH, Bill

The defense was called, "Doomsday." And Lilly today hunts with a Garrett. George Andre lives in Pt Neches, but never makes appearances, but Bob Lilly can be seen regularly at card signing shows. It always amazed me because of how slight he looked. We would go watch the Cowboys scrimmage during the week, and he wore clothes that had holes in them, and with no pads.
Yet, you see him on the field he was an absolute Terror. I've never seen a defensive lineman that was so quick-sometimes I believe he got to the quarterback the same moment the quarterback took the snap.
But Ed Jones came around much later, along with Danny White and Harvey Martin.
[Lilly once remarked," it takes a good athlete to play Defensive End, but it takes a MAN to play at Tackle."]
