Ok.. Why was my question taken off the forum ?

What was so bad about asking a question about the AT Pro coil problem ? If there is one at all. I ask If anyone with a Ace 350 was seeing the same thing happen with their detector because they have the same type of coil on them. When the detector is twisted side to side does the Ace 350 false like the AT Pro ? If that question has to be removed from the forum then someone needs to take a hard look at what's being posted on here because there's been far worse subjects that have been posted.

Just question some of the false claims made against non-Garrette machines and see how long it stays:rofl: I have decided to get an AT Pro and test it for myself as much of what I read on here is so biased, both pro & con as to make it of little value .

It's not a manufacture, or sponsor thing. It's Finds, trying to get some order back into this forum. Far too many drive by shooters here. We got rid of a few trouble makers. Dam if there not over on another forum hijacking post there. A guy posted a good question about the AT Pro, and in the middle of it all, here's a guy I got rid of this morning starting trouble here, over there whining about his free speech rights over here. Of course he offered no help to the guys question. He just wanted to say complaints about Finds, and the AT Pro. Those guys we don't need here.

I agree-although I don't count for much.

Yea answering the same question over and over was getting old. Folks should read a bit. The same thread got started at least once a day.

Didn't think that question would cause such a problem. I take it then it was a reply to my post that caused it to be removed. Been a member for over 3 years here under Terry In pa and before that under another name. Seems like there's been more and more of what your post is talking about this past year.

to answer your question and I have posted it two times on here already, There are some detectors that do that, The ones that do that are HOT :detecting: I mean look out they are burning up the ground, The AT Pro and the Ace 350 and yes the 350 will do it to if you run the sensitive as high as it will go and hold the coil up in the air, How ever it's has a different sound it's like a machine gun going off because it has and different audio response than the AT Pro.

Put it pack on the ground and hunt it all smooths out. No problem with my coil, If there were I wouldn't take it off, Love it :)

Now are you happy

This is a good question. It appears that a few are having coil problems. I can think of at least 5 detectors (various brands) that had coil problems when they first came out......after the manufacturers fixed the problems all these five became popular and are still desired machines. Generally good depth is to hang on the very edge of smooth/rough (not sure if that made sense). For example I have a (other) detector that I run just to where it doesn't false.......it's still noisy, but I understand its language and it detects deep. I believe the At-Pro is as close to an all purpose detector you can get, but it won't do what a 1000.00 machine will do. Happy Hunting

So I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss every report of an issue with falsing. The senior tech at Garrett tested my AT PRO and determined that the entire unit needed to be replaced. Now my issue wasn't with falsing with twisting, though mine did do that, but rather if I rested it on the sand at an ocean beach and just moved it the slighest amount like what happens when you are digging it would false like crazy even though it was quiet when searching. It would also false if you just slightly skimmed the surface of the sand, not hitting it hard enough to cause a physical jolt to the detector.

Kudos to Garrett for great customer service.
