Ok whats so good about......

Whats so good about the SunRay other than it attaches to your
detector. I'm really happy with what the Garrett pro-pointer can do.

Its good you like your pinpointer. it's a personal choice. It's why we don't all use the same headphones. I use the DX1 but I also use Rat Phones not SunRays. The DX1 is deep, it doesn't need batteries, it discriminates, and if I want to, it shows what it sees on my detector screen. Is it for everyone, NO. Rob

PRO - 1. Sunray is deeper 2. Being attached it can't be left behind or forgotten. 3. Gives the same display information as the detector coil 4. Depth will adjust by turning the sensitivity up or down just like the detector 5. Detection field can be narrowed by pulling the pinpoint switch 6. Never needs separate battery 7. The signal is audible in the headphones just like the detector.

CON - 1. Is only useful for the detector it was designed for and connected to. 2. Adds a slight bit of extra weight to the detector 3. Costs more initially

I'm a real fan of pinpointers and find the Sunray on my MXT the best I've had to date. I was interested in the Pistol Probe when it first came out until I discovered it doesn't have a vibration mode which is critical to me when wearing headphones which is nearly all the time. On my other detectors I use a TreasureMate which has similar depth to the Propointer and the vibration mode I prefer. I've used several others all of which lacked the depth of the TreasureMate or Propointer etc., but still helped recover small targets in the soil and certainly speeded up the process.

it discriminates like your other coils, hooked to your machine. i was skeptikal and bought one about two weeks ago, and sure am glad I did. You won't be disappointed if you get it.
