Jim and Kenner worked over the aluminum screw cap thing fairly thoroughly, but what about the steel ones?
( I worked out an easy method that seems to work on my MXT ) Curious to see what else is done.

The only tech. I have found that works 100% of the time is to dig the sucka up. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol"> I did get into a plat area once and every time I got a solid 78 vdi it was a beer cap, 74 -76 were pennies 79-81 dimes. But in all honesty I have not found a method of determing the difference and would be glad to hear one if anyone has figured it out.

if it was a steel bottlecap, the VDI #s would go down with increase in speed. Coin VDIs stayed the same regardless of sweep speed. HH, George (MN)
