ok, someone had to ask.... WHAT'S IN YOUR POUCH?

hi all, i'm a curious cat today, so i had to ask the ultimate of personal questions coincerning your repository of personal wealth that you take with you on every hunt. i know, i just had to ask. and i know it's kinda personal, but... just thought i'd ask. i have a nice weekend with a good possibility of jumping on a couple of hot spots i've been seriously eyeballing lately - one involving bulldozers - yummy!
what's in my pouch? dust from the last hunt. small bits of metal that broke off. cigarettes. cellphone. a stray memorial cent. and that's it! i like to travel light, and move quick. drink in the back pocket. i have one of those across the shoulder, multi pocket zippered pouches that are almost impossible to lose but slide down everytime. but i still like it. it holds a lot. so...what's in your pouch? hh,

dirt, a lighter, and that's about it. I just have a little one that goes around my belt. I never had one until I dropped some bullets out of my pocket (pulling the cigerettes out) while still detecting. Thank God it wasn't a valuable button or coin but I still treasure every bullet I find . Now I take it with me always.

stuff like GPS, pinpointer, Gator digger, spare batteries, camera, some string, asprins, cap lights ( incase I get caught out after dark), t-paper, large ziplock baggy for a rain cover for my detector just in case, some candy, some snakin' foods, several bottles of water( when it's hot I freeze the water and it's nice and cold as it starts melting ), bunches of different sized containers with cotton in them to put in the delicate finds to keep them from being damaged( I usually wet the cotton when I put the finds in it so it starts soaking and loosening up the dirt), and besides all that I wear cloth gloves, knee pads and carry my D-handle relic shovel from predator tools, my detector and my cell phone. That's usually what I carry, sometimes more, sometimes less.

My pinpointer, water bottle, Plastic bottle to put fragile finds in, poncho, energy bars, junk from previous hunt, toilet paper, hand trowel folding shovel, flare gun, air horn, {sometime a rubber raft] }, my dog Timex ( he's a watch dog). That's what I keep in my side pocket pouch. I keep better stuff in my other two pockets.
Dman

[bGG, ]I keep a CS buckle that I bought so if Dman bugs me I can see what he looks like having a heart attack when I act like I found it!!![/b]

I dont wear a pouch I wear overalls. Big Smith's as a matter of fact and there is enough pockets on a pair of them for everything you need a pocket for. The pocket on the side where you would keep your folding rule is where I keep my cell phone. Pockets on the bib are for smokes and lighter. Left hand pocket is kept empty my finds. Right hand pocket is for my pocket knife which must be a Case, Trapper model. Left rear pocket is for TP and right hand rear is for the junk I find. I also carry a pill bottle for buttons and I keep that in the empty left pocket. Water and such I keep on the Ranger 'cause I usally aint very far from it or my truck. And if things are going good I can rearrange stuff for more room. Plus the overalls are cooler than blue jeans and if you get in a yellow jackets nest you can get out of em pretty quick too...d2

I travel very light. A container for relics, aspirin, and a plastic bag if it looks like rain. But wearing six pocket pants, I can carry out any trash I've dug or that I pick up from others. It may not be a pertinent answer but I do carry a 70 oz. Camelbak during the summer months to place in a central location. In it, there's an extra Altoids container for relics and maybe a spare battery pack.
