Ok guys HELP! I found this pocket watch yesterday. Just these two pieces. Question 1. Anyone ever heard of "TV" ? Also the back of the face has the same number as the inside of the case? Part two... It has initials... But I can't make it out. HM? HAM? Flip it upside down and now it's twice as hard. Any ideas?

Wow nice case and face.... definitely a keeper. Is the case Silver or gold plate?

It looks kinda large like a 1 pounder used for train time keeping.

I am no expert and someone else that knows much more will comment.

I have repaired antique clocks and watches over the years and I wanted to share pics of a watch I have so it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about!
It seems your watch is missing the outer case just like my watch is. My gold watch is a key wind and is very old, looks very pretty and is complete except for the missing outer case (and a hand)! also it is 18K BUT.......it's not worth very much more than it's scrap weight in gold, without the outer case.
Each watch, prior to mass production was handmade and there were subtle differences in dimensions with each one, so it's almost impossible to get a case that will fit yours or my watch. it's still silver though so there is value there!
Oh, the TV and the HAM. The TV will be the watch manufacturer.....havn't done any research yet and the hand engraved HAM is almost certainly the intials of one of the owners over the years. Watch repairers will engrave their marks/intials etc; and the date of the repair so it's not uncommon to see many marks of many owners and watch repairers.
