OK NEED SOME THOUGHTS ON SMALL COILS???

What does everybody think is better the sunray 8" or the minelab 7.75(8") coil???..seems to me that the minelab would be better (made by minelab and smaller).
Let me hear some thought on your views about this.........Thanks!!!!!..............O yeah....everybody is entitled to there own opinions !!!!!!!!

My experience is the Pro-Coil is better at separation than the 7.75 stock. I've had my eye on the smaller EXcellerator ones. I'd rather have the 5" but it seems like folks like the 6" better and that has me looking at the 4.5X7. I'm also interested in what folks are seeing. Good thread!

because they can usually be found at a cheaper price when bought used. The Sunray 8 is a quality built coil but so is the Minelab, The Sunray may be a tad bit lighter in weight but you will never feel the difference in this size anyway.
If you're buying NEW then also consider the SEF line, they kick butt pretty well and the smaller ones on up the 10X12 are fairly lightweight and have excellent separation qualities and good depth.

My sunray 8 inch is indispensable. I use the sunray 12 allot but when I use the 8 it takes longer to cover an area but it is a coin getting fool.

I have them both, prefer SunRay over ML.
6x8" SEF is a great little coil, have the 4.5x7 excellerator and it is gathering dust since SEF 6x8 arrived, I suspect my SunRay will be getting a well deserved rest also.
