Stay at home and make beer! Regular beer or Root Beer. These kits are available thhrough our distribution center at your local Do it Best hardware store or through our web site. http://www.familyhardware.doitbest.com/

I've had the root beer. It's terrific. Haven't yet tried the real beer kits. From what I hear its very good too at about 64 cents per 12oz bottle. Here is the photo of the regular beer starter kit #831158. Refills in various flavors are available.

I'm ordering in the root beer kit to make with my granddaughter. We'll have a blast making it and sharing it. When she is 21, I'll let her invite her girlfriends over for a beer making / tasting party ... by the pool! "Oh Grandpa, you're so cute" ... You Bet!

Did rootbeer when I was a kid.........bottles exploded from build up of gas. Used to be able to buy the rootbeer extract in the drug store. Even put raisins in it, for a different flavor. True old fashion rootbeer was real good tasting stuff.

I've got two of these kits and the beer is good. It takes a couple of weeks to get aprox. 7quarts. If you can wait one more week, it's better. Use fruit in the mix to make it more potent ( aprox. 5.5% alc.). I prefer the lighter pilsner mixes but there is a whole bunch of diff. mixes and recipe options. Try it you'll like it.
