I found this today in a middle-school yard. It's a Wagner Bach 7C trumpet mouth piece. Since it wasn't found on the sports field I'm assuming it was lost during Band practice. And I found it with my new E-Trac!!

My Goodness...If I still played trumpet, that could ruin my whole day. Common mouthpiece...Very uncommon find.
Way to go.

Did you check with the school to see if someone lost it.

Since it was in the dirt about 6" deep there's a possibility that the mouthpiece has been in the ground since 1935. What I'll probably do is contact the Music Director and see if he could use it as a loaner for a current student who has lost their own and is waiting for a replacement.
