...I am going to look for that ring that my co-worker's brother in law lost a couple weeks ago...I asked my co-worker tonite if there was any engraving in this ring He said "YES-IT SAYS TITANIUM IN IT""...:razz:ALL RIGHTY THEN:I have a question:HOW in the world does a titanium ANYTHING respond on a detector???I didnt even know they made titanium rings...No wonder that guy wants it back-He didnt tell me how much he spent on it;other than it was "a substantial amount"...I guess I will just have to run with very little discrimination;and hope for the best...I will see him again tomorrow night-I am going to ask him if he is sure it is Titanium, and not PLATINUM....

guess there is suddenly more titanium in the ground to make rings out of - probably a cheap metal to make a hard ring out of (unlike gold). None of the rings I have found to date have titanium in them so don't know what they would come up on on the scale of metals. Hmmm maybe a Periodic Table might give a clue (if I had one). It would give info where it fits in - like maybe it fits in on the chart between copper and nickle or maybe between aluminum and copper. Think that would give you a ball park as to where to figure the detector would put the sound and visual signal in relation to other signals.

Can't help ya much Steve. Hopefully someone else will have an answer for you that you can use.

It will be a high tone line silver or platinum!

to run very low-or no-discrimination;and scoop every signal...I will let you all know tomorrow evening how I did!!
