"corkscrew" fracture-dont know where I got that.....:unsure:Must have been the extreme pain I was in;or those mind-altering drugs the Dr.gave me...:rofl:Actually;this has not really been the pain-city experience I thought breakin a bone would be...mainly,just a pain in the posterior havin to wear this moon-boot they got me in(They call it a WALKING cast??Walking is all but impossible in this thing)-BUT-Have you ever heard a bone breaking?Its pretty loud-You can hear it-AND feel it:thumbdown: SO:TO ALL YOU WORKIN PEOPLE:I am off work until the 23rd,goin back for a re-check;and hopefully a release..Take care of yourselves,dont work too hard-AND,dont worry about me-With all this time on me hands,and all this BEAUTIFUL weather were having;I will just have to find a way to muddle thru-somehow...:sadwalk::detecting::garrett::fisher::whites::buds::cool::thumbup:

I broke my leg just above the ankle a couple of years ago while fly fishing (long story :)) Unfortunately, I'm in management so I worked for the 6-8 weeks I had the cast on. I had it on my right leg so I couldn't drive. Had to have a co-worker pick me up. What a bummer.

Hang in there. At least you can get out. I couldn't do anything without crutches.
 
that down time to research on the net , books, old maps, etc. You will then be ready to detect when healed. I never have had a broken anything but do sympathize with you. Steve in so az
