That I really like this XTERRA 705 I purchased

In my opinion the depth you get with it is quite a bit deeper than the ATP
And the discremination is way better as well as the pin point feature
I'm not saying the ATP is not a good machine because it is the ATP is
Pretty much a turn on and
round balance and go machine where as the 705 you have to do a little more adjustments
Went over some of my yard area with the 705 that I had already went over with the ATP wasn't hearing to many sounds with the ATP once I had finished the area but when I went over 5he same area with the 705 I stated hearing more targets that were deeper

In my opinion the two machines actually complement each other because you can go over an area with the ATP AND CLEAN OUT the shallower targets down to about 8 inches ++ and then go over it again and get the deeper targets with the 705 I think they are both excellent detectors

Rite now I am using the 6 inch DD 18.75 kHz and like it alot the ATP I used the standard coil

dj, I do not know why you would want to go over a area with the ATP and get the shallow stuff and then go over it with the Xterra and get the deeper stuff when you can just use the Xterra and get the shallow and deep stuff all at the same time, lol

Its not that I really go over it twice I had the ATP and went over it once with it I just got the 705 so what I am doing is going back over what I have already done with the ATP
I WILL be relinquishing the ATP over to my wife and I will be using the 705 which I think will work great she can find the shallower targets an I will come behind her and get the deeper targets
Kind of a family ork together

I saw your posts on another forum when you were looking for a second machine. Of course I'm a little biased, but I think that you made a great choice.

HH!
