Went for what I thought would be a solo spin on 08/25 PM, with the Excal. Still have control housing detachment issues with the GQA2, but hopefully my new adhesive will hold! I sure do hope so! I was in the water by 730p, into a 750P -0.3L and SW winds at 5-10. Was somewhat skeptical of this 1st location, as I had just hunted it the night before and only had recovered $.85 and a non-ferrous copper silver plated junk hoop. Tried starting a little further east, than the night before. Shortly before dark, I was joined by 2 other hunters to my east. I began working toward the west and was recovering just enough to keep me interested. More pennies showed this evening, than at any time during the summer, which tells me that there was possibly some sand moving. Total clad count here was $1.08 (23 pennies here).

Jewelry items for this surf area were a fragment of a non-ferrous hoop (did not hold test for silver), a medallion/pendant w/skull(copper junker), ferrous toe ring and the prize.

The prize came early on in the hunt and it is 10K yellow gold and has many little diamonds in the heart shape. YES, they are diamonds! This is nut #1. One of the hunters had left (maybe it was Klopek)and I was about to leave myself and went over to the last remaining hunter, who had been shadowing, about 25 yards behind me and asked who he was. It was Willia in Tex! I have not seen Willia in a while. He lives about 3 hours east of me and has to work a lot, so it's always a treat when we get to hunt together. He was running his SOV, as his GQA2 is at Mr.Bill's getting surgery. I recommended another surf area and Willia finally agreed at 1015P.
The next surf area Willia and I began our spin at 1030P and the tide was still out pretty well. The wet sand really had my attention as it was FULL of coins and we are not talking fresh drop either! I recovered a staggering 45 pennies at this location! Total clad count at this location was $4.30.

Got a copper pendant deal w/CZ marquis, a .925 thin band and another prize! The prize is 14K yellow gold, with a kinda split and a bamboo texturing and an opal!

This is nut #2. MAN-O-MAN, what a night! Willia found a gold man's band at this location, as well! Willia left around 12A and I stuck it out till 245A and I was a HAPPY PIRATE!

Nice finds, my GT should be here this weekend and the waterproof box is almost complete:thumbup:

Very nice rings GH... I'm thinking that 14k ring is supposed to be bamboo but I could be wrong :)

I would have kept hunting but work comes early on Mondays. Nice spin!
