I have used a T2 for over a year and I love it but I will honestly tell you that if you only coinshoot and in parks etc, I would not recommend the T2, unless lightweight is a major consideration. It really is a great detector and it is very light but if I were coinshooting in mild soil I would go with the MXT or maybe a CZ3D, for the "old coin" program, but the T2 also has the "old coin" program: (4 tone). A Cibola or a Cortes might be a good choice too. In any case, you cannot go wrong with an MXT.
There are two reasons I would tell you to think about whether you want the T2. First, it is a really sensitive detector and it will signal on every little tiny piece of metal. You will think there is something wrong with it at first but it is not chatter it just hear's every little thing in the ground. Second, is the interference. Frankly. I have had very little problem with the electrical interference, only squarely under power lines and even then it is usable, just a bit noisy. It is absolutey unusable if there are underground utilities or invisible fencing for dogs but other detectors are too...
Now, it is a good coinshooter if you are willing to endure a couple of months of getting used to it. You will start to find things right off with it and it will unmask targets like you wont believe. It just takes getting used to, you have to be willing to listen to a lot of grunts and beeps, but you will get used to it. I relic hunt mostly but I also coinshoot and I usually use the T2 for it because of it's weight and comfort. I find, however, that mine, in most conditions, does not lock right in on a TID number, but it jump's around a bit. I have learned to read it though. The F75 might be another machine to think about.
