What are some detecting finds you would like to find this year that you have not found yet? Don't be shy, tell us some of the items that you hope to find! :) Happy New Year!

The US buckle is possible but highly unlikely here. A gold coin would be the most desired. What about you ? steve in so az

1 Any civil war items
2 Gold Ring
3 1800's coin
4 any items in the 1700's at some of these old houses site I'm trying to get. :D

Not asking for much :D

ok - I want the impossible (or what one might say is 'impossible' if they don't have God in their lives)

First, I would like to find the silver Eagle ring that Sherry bought for me - to replace one that had gotten damaged and then it was lost too (would like to find it as well so I could take it to get fixed).

Second, I'd like to find the silver Cross ring that flew off my hand a Wal-mart and into the trash compactor

Third, I'd like to find a nice wrist watch with a good band (one I have now is a plastic black band that is taped with electrical tape onto my wrist - otherwise the band would break further and be lost

Fourth, I'd like to find a nice ring in my size that is 'pretty'. Only one I found that fits me is that Dollar Sign ring.

Fifth, just for laughs, I'd like to dig and find a detector someone got mad at and buried - that would be funny to find.

Sixth, would like to find a nice size cache of coins and bills - or one of them Russian icons like one of our club members found. If I found enough to buy our next house I'd give this one to a family who needs a very large house - they have a very large family living in a 2 bedroom place. Think there are like 13 in the family. All the girls in one bedroom, boys in the other and the Mom and Dad sleep on a pull out couch in the living room. This house would be ideal for them.

Other than that I will be happy with whatever God leads me to find.

I will not be able to ever be rich. If I had that kind of money I would give away all but what I need to live as I'm now living. God bless all and good luck this year.

I'd love to find something from the 19th century and something with a real diamond in it. (CZ's are not good for my heart :) )

I would like to use my hobby to further the His Kingdom on earth. I would like to find and sense His pleasure in it. I am too greedy. I want it all. That doesn't bring me pleasure, only frustration. I like Mike's servant type attitude. I want to be more like that. I want to find peace in my hunting. Sometimes I feel like I spend too much time in this hobby. Sorry to have such a sober answer. But I know there are more ways to serve Him in this hobby. I want to find them.

won't happen unless my health improves and I have hunting buddies!

Good Luck and God's Blessings for everyone to find what they want to for this year! God is goooood and His Will be done!

I know we can get caught up into detecting, using the Computer by addiction and other things....but as long as you think about Jesus, pray for His direction in which to go and His guidance in what to do...He will show you how to use the money and treasures you find for His glory, by giving one, two or more to others as b'day and Christmas presents or just to uplift a sorrowful soul when you see someone seeking comfort and needing to know that Jesus is their Comforter! Get their attention first by a good deed and then witness to them about Jesus! I'm sure you do this already but don't grieve about detecting too much...just use it to bless others and see God bless you in return! Don't neglect your family though, as divorce or forgetting wife and children is a terrible thing!

God Bless! God will be with you...just give Him the praise and glory in whatever you do, as long as it isn't doing evil or wrong---which is doing what Jesus wouldn't do!

But I'll take a silver coin from 18??
Nice idea for a post Mike!
God bless and Happy New Year!

I have found that He is using me right here and on other forums to spread the gospel, to plant seeds, pray for others, and to encourage others. There are so many ways we can be used to Glorify His kingdom! Even through Metal detecting! :) God bless you brother!

A gold coin has been on my list a long time. And with the type of sites I hunt, it is certainly possible! :) A silver dollar is still on my list, a bust coin, and a pre 1800's coin, and a confederate button! I have a bunch more, but these are some! :)
