Thank you BCD you have helped me, What you have to do when your over a target and it reads coins and the bell tone is a nice clear tone, put it in the zero mode, start swing over the target and then start dragging it back to the toe of the coil if it's a bottle cap it WILL go off into the Low tone and coin will stop at a high tone. again a bottle cap will stop in a low tone and the ID will also read Iron.

Some times if the bottle cap is smashed you may have to use the back of the coil and the front of the coil and the ID will also read Iron and low tone.

Now being in the Zero Mode you have to keep in mind you could also be hitting more iron targets in the ground that cause it to go into the iron tone, So this is the reason swing it all the way to the front of the coil and the back of the coil and may be a good thing to turn 90 deg and recheck the target again.

I'm not real good at explaining things some times and hope you understand what I'm saying, If not Please ASK :super:

excellent:super::super::super:

HotTexas I wanted to ask you what you thought of the Garrett (clear sound easy stow headphones) have you used them? I tried mine with the Ace350 the other day. I thought they were great as far as not tangling up or being to short or getting in the way. the problem I had was every time I put the detector down to deal with a target then pick up the detector again,the volume of the headphones seemed to go up by itself. I know I may have rubbed against the control once or twice but not every single time. but every time I hit the next target the volume was so loud it bout knocked my eyes loose. Just wonderin' if you had this problem?

Ya, I like them, Having the same problem with the volume control, I think when I get it set just right I'll put tape around it, they are light weight and comfortable, It's been near 70 here and they are cooler than my Koss and Gray Ghost, but don't cancel out background noise as good, but sometimes thats a good thing.

They can be turned up very loud :)

Tape, good Idea.:lmfao:
