That was taken from your link. Does being elected by the people of Connecticut because they felt she was the best person for the job not count????? She was HONESTLY AND TRULY elected and NOT elected because she was married to a governor. Those other women were only taking their husband's place until a another governor could be chosen......they were substitute governors. Grasso holds the title of being ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE OF CONNECTICUT TO DO THE BEST JOB, THUS BEATING OUT HER OPPONENTS. AKA on her own merrits!

:nono: Your line about another forum does not pertain here.........I hold my own and can back up what I say in print.

woman governor to be elected in the United States, when in fact she was not!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is what Craig is saying and he is right, you did not mention in your first post "in her own right", that came later when Craig question your post and he is right! You said in your first post ( Connecticut has had 87 governors and the first woman governor in the nation ) and Craig question it and he was right plus it makes no difference about " in her own right ", she was not the first to be elected and history spells it out and the link shows it!

Contrary to popular belief, she was not the first woman to be elected governor of a U.S. state, that is the bottom line and the link shows it

You said ......

No it does not count because your first post did not say this or referred to it, you said she was the first when in fact she was not and Craig caught it and just pointed it out, so I want you and Craig to hug and kiss and make up, hahaha  .......... :inlove:

Just doing my job here ....
