When I change coils my detector seems erratic at times! As in signagraph jumping and icons popping. I have had my detector recalibrated once this year, hopefully I am not headed down that road again......

greg im no expert but i wonder if the conector is geting lose from changing coils all the time > get a new conector or wigle it ????

higher sensitivity program set up for the other coil you have been using. It might need to be reduced a bit to gain stability.

Also, it's important to be in a hunting location with the coil in a search position. If indoors or held too high, you're going to be more susceptible to RF interference.

Good point, once I had the coil a little tight and wiggled the connection at the coil and retightened it and it was fine. But I don't think each time I change a coil this should be happening.
