Ohio tomorrow Sunday hi of 47 will seem like summer:thumbup::clapping::detecting:

We've had pink and white blossoms in the trees and daffodils and other flowers out for the past 3 weeks or more. Life's tough for a detectorist in NW Oregon. :)

I hope you can get out and enjoy ... if the snow is gone.

Yes Fred, I live in Ohio too and a friend and I had our first hunt in about two months. I managed silver too! Was great to get out.

Just a 1926 merc, but it was my first silver with my 15x12 coil and only took about 2 hours to find in a heavy trash worked out spot. Coin was on edge and had trash ALL around/over it. My friend's 6000 Pro Xl with 9.5" coil had a hard time seeing it compared to the monster I was using on my Sovereign GT. Speaks well of the seperation and unmasking ability of this coil. Story is in the Sovereign forum.

I asked my friend about how his 9.5" 6000 Pro Xl saw the coin again last night. He told me he could in fact get a signal from any direction on the coin despite the trash, but that he would have probably missed it had he not known where to look. That speaks highly for the SEF 15x12 coil and I've heard similar masked/coins on edge stories about this coil in worked out spots. They don't have to be super deep coins to be the only thing new this coil turns up.
