I:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:t is called Ohio metal detecting and one of the members from one of the other forums made the cover in jan. issue 2010 congratulation to Goes4ever for making the cover.

Ohio should have its own magazine, Fred. Half of the people I have met on these forums are from Ohio.!!!!! How do you people keep from falling over one another out there?? Yes Goes4ever should be congratulated on the cover. He found three Large Cents in one day. Not to shabby for a first year detectorist. Oh, by the way Fred, I heard they wanted you for their first Centerfold!!!!!! :surprised:

It sounds strange but I'd rather not read a magazine about Ohio metal detecting. I don't like hearing about the competition because I try to keep a positive attitude. I've got a friend who is very negative about all the old coin spots drying up. Staying away from that kind of thinking getting me down I've been doing very well while he sits around and moans. So long as I don't hear about who did what where it doesn't discourage me from hitting those same spots and thinking somebody beat me to such and such, if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I love to hear about other people making good finds and I like to take friends to virgin spots I've discovered. I just don't want to hear anything outside of the circles I run in so I always keep my eye on the prize and don't get distracted thinking I should be hitting some other spot before that guy tries to clean it out.

I no what you mean some times.Like i go through some of the forum and see all old coins and sliver and i wonder what i am doing wrong.Or am i in the wrong area or should i try something else.
