Yup ! Woke up this morning and decided it was time to do some metal detection. I've worked like a horse all wekk-end planting flowers, cleaning the pool, cutting a new solar sheet, and other task in the back yard. Now that everything is ready for summer, today would be devoted in part to metal detecting.
Drove around wonderring where to go and finally decided to try my luck and an ols stinky beach i've done in the past.

At the beguinning, things were pretty slow. Place is really trashy, so i've used the powerfull Excalibur for that specialized task. Everything is deep in the clay and you have to listed to the faint signals. It was pretty windy and little waves proved to be a nuisace since i was hunting at the limit of my wadders.

I started to get old religious medals, so i knew i was in a good spot. Then poped an old silver ring, and an other and a third ! Got several gun shells as well and 3 silver quarters, including an old pre-1937, too beated up to know the date. Got a silver bracelet with names and some of the medals are silver as well...think i got 8 or 9 silvers today!

I was pretty satisfyed with the finds when I was intitled a cherry on the top, a nice two tone gold band! Now that's a great day !

Was about to leave when i got a 1935 penny and i left knowing there were others signals, so i know pretty mutch where i'll be hunting next week!

I'm too tired to clean all of that, so here are the pics of the uncleaned finds :

I honestly was not so sure that the Excal would be particularly advantageous over the Tiger Shark, up there. That is proof in the pudding! I like that lode, great work man! You better git back to work on that spot, low and slow! You ain't done yet!
