Went on a solo hunting mission last evening, with the Excal in disc again in a trashy surf area. Began the hunt at 5P, into a 8P 0.4L. It was pounding last night, but I took my beating and it paid! Actually found the 1st large .925 filigree ring in the lane, but soon headed deep into the mine. Ended up with $1.13 in clad and 3 tokens. 1 of the tokens is a presidential "Franklin Roosevelt" token. I believe the other 2 had clowns. Anyway, the 1st ring was the heavier filigree .925 and I believe this was either my 1st or 2nd target. Next was the fine gold (.6Gs) band. It is not marked, but scrape and scratch acid test says 14K. It really sounded fine under the coil. Have found so many fine womens gold rings lately, that the tone is very recognizable when it melodiously comes over my headphones. The next ring was the lighter weight filigree .925 with dolphins on it. Speaking of dolphins, I was swimming with a few out in the mine. Made me feel good that they were there and beating up on the sharks for me. The last ring was the non-ferrous ying/yang split junker. 4 ring days do not happen for me very often, as a matter of fact, I believe that is only my 2nd time to pull that off. Huntress has a 5 ring hunt though. Have yet to exceed 4 myself. Cut the hunt a little short and bailed at 10P. The surf was sanding up pretty bad when I left, as the winds had picked up with the front to N 15-25K.
